Education
Washington Parish has two public school systems, Washington Parish School System and City of Bogalusa School System, and the Sullivan Technical College. Each system offers students well maintained class rooms and quality instruction. The public schools have a full range of sports and extracurricular activities. To view the public school accountability reports and school report cards from the State of Department of Education click here. Sullivan Technical College offers a broad range of educational and skills programs to meet the needs of most businesses. Further, they are able to work with employers to meet special skills needs for a new or expanding workforce.

Franklinton Jr. High School, shown at right, makes a grand appearance with its historic architecture and stately oak trees.

The Bogalusa City School Administration building is typical of the modern school facilities within Bogalusa and the Parish.
Shown at right is one of the Parish Library branch locations in Bogalusa. The libraries are modern and well equipped to offer residents a complete selection of reference and recreational reading.
